It is and always has been a goal of the Surety & Fidelity Claims Institute ...
to maximize the benefits that its Members derive from the SFCI experience. The need for Member professionals to maintain their accreditation is a fact of life and will continue to be so. With that in mind, the leadership and administrative staff of the Institute are in constant contact with the applicable state regulatory agencies to secure CLE credit for program attendees.
This pervasive effort has paid off, handily. For while various states apply their respective criteria and/or accredit programs in differing ways, our success in obtaining CLE credits for those who come to our programs has been overwhelming. For example, in 2002, 28 states gave CLE credit for the program, ranging from a minimum of 6.0 hours to a maximum of 8.0 hours. In addition, three states gave CE credit for insurance adjusters ranging from a minimum of 6.0 hours to a maximum of 6.5 hours. The previous year, the experience ranged from 3.6 hours to 7.2 hours from 26 states, with three states giving 6.5 hours of CE credit to adjusters. Similar results have been achieved in other years.
The Surety & Fidelity Claims Institute is mindful that the vitality of our program offerings on the CLE front is a dynamic process, requiring constant attention and refinement, when necessary. Our Members can rest assured that we are taking every reasonable step within our power to sustain and enhance CLE credit as an adjunct to Membership.
